Ashby Transfer Station Permit Deadline Falls July 1 — $50 Fee Required

Ashby had a quiet Wednesday with no new municipal announcements, but residents who have not yet purchased a transfer station permit are running out of time — the July 1 deadline is less than a week away.

Transfer Station Deadline Approaching

Residents who need access to the Ashby Recycle Center & Transfer Station should act before July 1. Annual permits cost $50 and can be purchased through the town's online payment portal or in person. Those who miss the deadline will lose access to the facility.

Three public meetings were held Tuesday evening: the Board of Assessors met in person at the Assessors' Office at 5 p.m., the Ashby Free Public Library Board of Trustees convened at 6:30 p.m. in the library's event space, and the Planning Board held a virtual session at 7 p.m. No results or outcomes from those meetings have been posted in the coverage window.

The town also continues to seek a part-time seasonal Cemetery Worker to help maintain its three town cemeteries. Interested applicants should contact Barbara Thorpe at tabos@ashbyma.gov or by calling 978-386-2424, ext. 123.
