Selectboard, Board of Assessors Meet Tonight in Ashby

Ashby's Selectboard and Board of Assessors both hold meetings today, giving residents two chances to weigh in on town business as the summer session continues.

TOWN HALL

The Selectboard meets tonight, July 29, at 6:30 p.m. in the Selectboard Room at Town Hall, with an option to join online, according to the town's posted agenda. The same evening, the Board of Assessors convenes at 5 p.m. in the Assessor's Office for an in-person session.

The town continues to advertise a part-time seasonal Cemetery Worker opening to help maintain Ashby's three town cemeteries; interested residents can contact Barbara Thorpe at tabos@ashbyma.gov or 978-386-2424 x123. The Highway Department is also reminding residents to report potholes through the same phone line as the town moves through what officials have called "New England's fifth season."

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Ashby Free Public Library continues to point residents toward its regular programming lineup, event calendar, and the Ashby Oral History Project, which offers films documenting town history for residents interested in local heritage.
