Three Ashby Boards Convene Tonight; Transfer Station Permit Deadline Looms
Three town boards hold public meetings this evening — the Board of Assessors, the Library Trustees, and the Planning Board — making Tuesday, June 24 one of the busier civic nights on the calendar despite a light news day overall.
TOWN HALL
Tonight's meeting slate gives residents three opportunities to engage with local government. The Board of Assessors convenes at 5 p.m. in person at the Assessor's Office. The Trustees of the Ashby Free Public Library follow at 6:30 p.m. in the Event Space at the library on Main Street. The Planning Board holds a virtual meeting at 7 p.m. via Zoom (Meeting ID: 876 0964 1256, Password: 983732).
Separately, the town's annual transfer station permit deadline is one week away. New permits cost $50 per year, and all purchases must be completed by July 1 to maintain access to the Ashby Recycle Center and Transfer Station.
The town also continues to seek a part-time seasonal Cemetery Worker to assist with maintenance of Ashby's three town cemeteries. Interested residents should submit their name, contact information, and relevant experience to Barbara Thorpe at tabos@ashbyma.gov or by calling 978-386-2424, extension 123.
